Star Power is a nonprofit organization for professional athletes to volunteer in assisting children in disaster stricken regions and handicapped people.
Moved by their activities, Platz has been supporting this organization since 2011.

Supporting Handicapped Sports

Platz provides support to the “Adapted Sports Support Project in Kyushu”, which was founded by Saga University and Nishikyushu University.
Students at the Nishikyushu University in Saga and the Saga Medical School, Saga University founded this project. This project helped train Shouta Kawano, who successfully participated in the London Paralympics in 2012 as a wheelchair tennis player. There are currently six children between the ages 10-20 who are training towards participating in the Paralympics as wheelchair tennis players. Shouta Kawano/ London Paralympics, Doubles 4th place
